How would you rate Zymol Cleaner Wax?

I'm used to using Turtle Wax which achieves OK results but I've heard of this product called Zymol Cleaner Wax which is supposed to be some pretty good stuff. Has anybody here tried this product and how would you rate it? Since this isn't your typical wax, do you think it's ok to use Meguiar's detailer spray after using this product?
 
i tried zymol cleaner wax the result is very good nice refliction , exellent clarity .

but its dries very quikly and not easy to buff off .

very dusty when buff off ..you need spray some water or qd to remove ......

i applyed megs last touch over zymol cleaner wax put the result is normal .



if you looking for 1 step product ...the meguiers colorx is better than zymol .

autoglym super resin polish very good product also.
 
Its ok for what it is but it doesn't seem to last. There are MUCH better products in that price range. If you have to buy from a local store, NXY is about the same price and looks so much better and last much longer.

Zymol Cleaner Wax is manufactured by Turtle Wax under the Zymol brand name.

I hate that stuff. The smell is obnoxious, it doesn't come off easily and it stains rubber and plastic trim.



For $2-3 more Meguiars NXT is definitely the way to go. The only time I wasn't pleased with the results it gave me was on my Audi's pealescent/metallic green paint. And to be fair, I never really found any wax that I thought looked great on that paint.
 
I would rate zymol's cleaner wax as fair to marginal. It is on par with typical otc cleaner waxes; However it is a far cry in results (IMO no comparison) from any of the entry level authentic zymols such as Carbon or Japon.



You should try it (zymol's cleaner wax) with some other products available to you to see if you like the results. In your travels, I would definitely encourage you to venture to some of the more talked about lsps on the boards and beyond.
 
It's not a bad wax. It does stain trim though. So you have to be careful. I happen to love the smell.



It cleans ok and in my experience it's still beading after 2 months. While it may not be the so called best, it's not the worst either. jmo



I can't tell much if any difference in it and some of my higher end waxes side by side. I imagine the higher end waxes will look better for longer, as well as last longer, but in a side by side test (at the moment) I couldn't tell the difference.



I think it gets kind of a bad wrap because it's manufactured by Turtle wax. If Zymol came out with a true liquid wax and asked 100-200 dollars for it, many would be falling all over themselves to buy it and praise it.



Just the opposite of Turtle wax. If TW came out with a wax to compete with the high end waxes, many would still bash it because of the name.. Again this is JMO.
 
Wow! I was expecting at least a couple of rave reviews about the product. I found the product on Amazon.com and every single person gave the product a 5 star review.

Do you have this wax? If not buy it and try it for yourself. I know you can buy it at Target, if you don't want to order it from Amazon. I believe it's around $12.00.



You may like it, you may not. I bought and tried it.. I happen to like it.



As far as rave reviews go. I know one person who has both Vintage, and Royale, and think both are just ok products nothing special. Then you have some who swear Vintage, and Royale are the best they have tried.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'll try it out and let you guys know what I think.
 
I used Zymol cleaner wax and Zymol deep detailer yesterday. I was impressed how well the detailer spray clung to the vertical surfaces. I like the scent of both products. My white Dodge has a slick feel. I have to wait to see if pollen is repelled and if dew dries with spots
 
I remember using it before I knew anything and had a favorable experience. Although I dont remember it staining trim, it was back when trim was chrome lol, but now a days anything that stains plastic trim is in the trash basket.
 
I was using this a lot in 08/09.

I used it back in the late 90's when it was called Zymol Auto Polish, and was sold in elaborate packaging.

I always loved the smell. I always liked the finish it left. I always liked how it beaded.

Since I went back to machines in 09, I haven't really used it. It did dry fast. I used cotton terrycloth towels to remove it, because the microfiber wouldn't even touch it. It also stained trim badly.

The high end Zymol stuff is awesome though. I like to top DG101, and 111 with Zymol Creame and Carbon.
 
It might be good for used lawnmowers or the neighbor kids bicycles. Its a terrible "excuse" for a AIO. Tried to apply it once with a PC on a black pad; dusted like crazy and swirled a black 2006 Freestyle. Did use it on door jams, but the black vinyl trim pieces got stained and were a bear to clean off. Never again.
Anyone who says its great has not used Megs ColorX or even Mothers Cleaner Wax, which are (much) better OTC AIOs in my opinion.
