first i'd say wash.... :S

what kind of car?

how old?

which pad?

how long do you want to spend?

when can you paypal me 3 g's

04 Mustang GT. Meguiars Burgundy(cutting)/Yellow(polishing) pad.

Ive already tried Optimum Polish and a Orange VC cutting pad and no luck.

Time is of no matter. I just want to polish to get the swirls out and wax. SSR2.5 aggressive enough?

How many applications of OP.

It looks like your going to have to do more than one layer. I would bet after your couple of passes of 2.5 you'll need to hit it with a less agressive pad and polish combo, then finish polish it.

before 2.5 red mitsu lancer

green cut pad edge 2000 2.5

the hood was a different story, i had to go over that twice with less effect.

Yea...well I am going to try

SSR 2.5 w/ Meguiars Yellow polishing pad, then OP with Meguiars Yellow Pad

If that doesnt work ill try

SSR 2.5 w/ Meguiars Burgundy cutting pad, then OP with Meguiars Yellow Pad

All I have is OP and SSR 2.5

Im just worried I wont be able to get these out with any of the stuff I have..

What we are trying to say is things are not allways a one step deal.

Take a step back, and look at what you have.

Then find a plan of attack.

work the 2.5 with what ever pad in a test area till you remove most, then bump down to FP or ssr 1 and work til you remove the micro maring. then use a finishing pad and final polish.

This is a step by step process, skip a step and your results will suffer.

I know this, this isn't the first vehicle I have done lol. I guess what im trying to figure out, is does everyone think 2.5 is the best way to start for these swirls? I dont want to bump it to a more aggressive polish and a wool pad. These are swirls I will be able to get out with a PC?

SSR2.5/Cutting Pad/PC, speed =6 should do it.

Need to apply some pressure and move PC slowly.

Make sure to fully work polish (SSR2.5 usually dusts for me when it's fully broken down, from experience you can learn to stop just before dusting)

May need more than one pass.

Bottom line, SSR2.5 and cutting pad I would think would do it, IMO.
