How was this detailing?

Well today I went over one of my friends house who does mobile detailing. He did my car for free but i bought him lunch and drove him to pick up his car from a shop.



This is what he did...



washed car

used meguiars qd spray, and clay

then sprayed the car and used the qd again

then used the buffer and used meguiars swirl remover 2.0

then waxed it by hand with nxt tech wax



Was that a good process?



in all took about 2 hours... and car looks sickk...ill have pics whenever he emails them to me.

He told me if i want i can use a carnuba wax like tommorow and it will shine even better. Do I have to wash my car again? And which wax do u guys recommend? Is gold class ok?



Also my friend was getting soo pissed off. He was like really heated cause on my hood i had a few water spots that wouldnt come out with the buffer even on the highest setting but he didnt wanna burn my clear coat.

No. For free you should have got much more.



Keep waxing it every 3 weeks for 4 months then detail it all over. Um wash if it's dirty. P21s is a very popular wax. So is this if you like megs:

It sounds like the process is missing a few steps between the 2.0 and by hand with nxt tech wax. Also, 2 hours does not seem like very much time to get good results.

I would expect a clay/polish/wax job to take longer than 2 hours.



If you use Gold Class over the NXT, it will remove it.

If you're going to top the NXT, you have to use a pure wax (P21S/S100 like BurlyQ mentioned will work for that).



And YES. You MUST wash the car before waxing. Even if it's just dusty.
