i just picked up a SUV (montero sport) that has "textured" wheels.
they have broad fairly flat-faced surfaces that have a dimpled textured finish, kinda like a rough bead-blasted finish.
they are in good condition with little b-dust, and seem to be pretty easy (much to my suprise) to clean, but i dont have a clue how to apply a protective coat of wax to the finish. it would eat a MF or any type to towel with even minimal rubbing.
it seems to me that the only way to effectively apply anything would be with a some type of spray. any attempt to buff would only result in the high surfaces being touched, without removing anything on the lower surfaces.
any ideas? TIA
