How to use Bar Keepers Friend???

I bought some of this from the local Wal-Mart in hopes that it will act as a good cleaner for my nasty old windshield. I remember someone recommending it for just that purpose.



My question is: "how do I use it?"

What are the tips and tricks to making this stuff work its magic on my windshield?
