how to store your products?

hello all!

i just purchased some S100 wax today and VERY happy :D the thing that has got to me is the warning which says "do not allow to freeze". ive always locked my cleaning products outside in the garage whether its winter or summer and have never really thought about it.

what i would to know is whether or not if the freezing of products due to the cold is has any affect on the performence of a product particularly the S100 and other polishes and compounds? i really dont like the idea of lugging my stuff into my bedroom and trip over them during the night! any advice would be appreciated thanks :xyxthumbs

I think it may be that whatever they add to the wax to keep it 'liquid' (so to speak) will migrate out and your left with semi-solid wax. I'd be very interested in a chemist type explanation to this.

Now I'm in Florida my problem is keeping it cool/cold, so it's stored in the fridge (just be careful what jar you open for the midnight snack :-) )

oh right

stands to reason since my other liquid waxes seems to seperate after been left to stand for a few days, kinda like the wax is at the bottom and the other "combination" lies on top. i guess a pot of wax in my room wont be too bad, the rest will have to stay put, thanks jonmiller.

I bring my stuff into the basement in the winter. I hate to spend the $ and then ruin them. I've got my stuff stored in a 18" x 18" x 18" box

My stuff comes inside and gets put on a set of shelves that I keep just for detailing products. PC pads, applicators, MF, and terry cloths get stored inside bags for the winter.

thanks for all the feedback :D

i think i will be putting all my waxes, sealants, polishes and glazes indoors tucked away in a box. agreed with PAW regarding the risk of ruining a product due to the cold and having to fork out the money again to buy some more. thanks all!
