How to rid haze after using Z6?

Have been using Zaino for 2 years and never had this problem. Yesterday was the perfect day to clay and wash my silver max because it was overcast outside.

After claying, I washed again, thoroughly rinsed then dried, then applied a mist coat of Z-6. When I finished I noted light streaking on the hood that was only visible from a couple of angles. I tried reapplying Z-6, but it did not get rid of the streaks/haze.

Anybody have any thoughts regarding what caused this and how to get rid of it? I'd like to apply another coat of Z today, but don't know if I want to apply over the haze.

Thanks for comments.

I've had that happen a couple of times too. First time, my Z distributor suggested it's probably from using too much product. And that was the solution. Couple of times since then, I've switched to a different towel, and that seemed to be the key. (Maybe detailing is rocket science!)

I guess I'd try another wash with Z7 and if that didn't work maybe try Poorboys EX :)

JimS, are you a Zaino user? Not flaming you! But I can't imagine needing to do another wash to fix this problem.

Last night I had a chance to use Autopia's Concours Buffing Towel with Z6. Wow! Never had such an easy time buffing off the Z6.

I thnk you are both right. Additional buffing will usually do it, and a Z7 wash will, if the problem persists. This is a rare phenomena and is, as Lynn says, often associated with having "too much" Z on the car. Yes, that can occur according to Sal, who told me that you cannot infinitely apply unlimited coats, particularly if they are too thick. My experience confirms this. However, with the ZFX additive, thin coats, allowing some time for the coats to set, then Z6, then a bit more time, I think you can go forever (particularly if you can bake the coats in the sun, as we can here in LA), if that's your desire.

I don't think I have too much Z on the car - probably about 6 or 7 total coats over two years. I am getting pretty good (not perfect) at applying light coats of all Zaino products, that's what had me perplexed.

I tried reapplying light mist of Z6 (oh, and I did this in the gargage) and used another cotton towel. Still didn't totally get rid of the slight hazing. So, I said to heck with it and proceeded as originally planned by applying my spring coats of Z1 and Z5. (Still love the smell of that Z5.) Seemed to take care of it. No noticeable haze, and the finish is as shiny and slick as ever. Go figure. :o

Thanks all....
