How to remove drive wax from crevices?

The previous owner of my car got quite a bit of wax in crevices between body panels and it's now dried and pretty ugly. I'd like to safely remove it, but I'm not sure what product will dissolve the old wax and what is the best way to get into the cracks/crevices containing the dried wax? Also, what product would you suggest for removing wax from vinyl/plastic surfaces on the car's exterior mouldings, etc.?

Cracks: spray a little IPA in the crack and a little on a microfiber and try to squeeze some of the fibers into the crack.

Moldings: a pink rubber eraser (used for pencils) will take dried wax off, no problem.

Mineral oil dissolves wax effortlessly, follow with apc.

I prefer alcohol with a thin MF, but your system will probably do the trick too. Why follow with APC if the Mineral Oil removed the wax? Probably because it leaves an oily mess behind right? If so, seems like alot of potential marring could occur from excessive rubbing of the paint.
