How to remove adhesive from old weights inside of rims?

In order for me to do that, I would have to take off the wheel. Im not bothering with it because I dont have a torque wrench to torque the wheels back properly.
 
I don't know that you want to do that. Those are there to keep the wheel in ballance. If you took them off then your wheel would vibrate and cause a pretty serious handling problem. Keep the wheel weights there and be glad you don't have a BMW where they put them on the OUTSIDE lip of the wheel sometimes. I always feel bad for those guys... What a way to have to drive your car.
 
I take my wheels off once a month for detailing behind them. Every wash I use a brush to get back there. When I take them off i apply a layer of UPP to everything I can get to, makes cleaning them soooo much easier.

For the removal of the old adhesive I use goo gone or 3M adhesive and wax remover. These are stains left from the adhesive that held the OLD weights on right? Mine left stains because I had the wheels balanced(they had to remove the old weights).

I don't use weights at all. I use static beeds. You put them in the tire and it balences it automaticly.
 
Koop sounds intersteing yes I also have the Weights on the outside of the Rim I use a toothbrush to clean them. JGV is that a brand new rim it looks so clean.
