One thing I can add, unless it was added already, use Four Star Abrassive Enhancing Gel instead of water.

Since it's not an OEM finish, most likely the painter put down a lot of clear in comparison to an OEM so you should be fine....

I disagree. I've seen too many re-sprays that were done really thin. Just Tuesday night I was examining a friend's car whose finish was failing for that very reason.



Luckily, in chanh55's case, he can talk directly with the painter and get the specifics on his finish.

My experience with fresh paint is....if you didn't paint it, don't wet sand it! I have been burned (pun intended) in the past!
