how to make white look hot???

hello all, im just planning for summer can't wait:) anyways, i just got a brand new yukon denali, ive had it for about 2 months, for the winter i fully clayed it, put a coat of AIO on, and 3 coats of collinite 476 on. Im trying to focus on whats next, when spring/summer arrives. Id like a great product that can fully protect from uv's and what not, and i also want a great product to make the color white look deep and wet, if that's possible with white. any suggestions on what you guys would do? i searched couldn't find what i really wanted to know. thanks to all

If you want to use a carnauba, I've had great results using Natty's Blue on white. Or if you want to go the sealant route, Zaino or the Werkstatt line will also do wonders for white.
 
I've had nice results on white from Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze followed up by Meguiars #16 wax to protect it... the glaze oils in the #80 gave a nice wet look and the #16 complimented that nicey: here's an example of that combo on a Lotus Excel:























Fairly bread and butter products, but they worked a treat I thought. Defect correction was achieved by using Menerna Power Gloss and Intensive Polish, products applied by PC.
 
You can make white look as reflective as any other color, in the right lighting. I like FPII/FK Pink/DG Aquawax.

I have had luck with Z2pro followed with Natty's Blue on white. I just tried Z2pro followed with Finish Kare Pink Wax, looks the same as before to me. I dont think you could go wrong with either combination.
 
You listed u.v. protection, OCW is the only wax I've found that says it has U.V. blockers in it. Makes me feel a little better when doing bright or even day-glo colors. I haven't been using it long enough to report on its long term protection. Best of luck.
 
On my white daily driver, I'm a fan of Natty's (original, as I havent tried the blue), DP Max Wax, EX-P, and OCW. Right now it's got Klasse SG on it and I think it looks great. I'd say that you seem to have a pretty strong combo on it right now. If it were me, I would stay with the current combo that you're using and maybe add another final polishing step. I got carried away with buying a whole bunch of product at first, and now half of it barely gets used.

great feedback everyone, thanks. Way2sslow, what product would you recommend as a final polish step? The truck looks amazing as is, just would like that little extra shine when the sun's out...

I like that combo as well. To take it a step further you can do a hand coat of Meg's #81 before the wax. It adds more depth and gloss. I have pics somewhere of that combo on a white Jag, i'll see if I can dig them up.

Disclaimer: There are so many great polishes out there, and I have not tried them all.



Everyone raves about Menzerna, but I've yet to try it...so keep that in mind. I have recently been using Optimum polish on a finishing pad as my last polishing step. Keep in mind that Optimum works for a pretty long time, especially if you're using a PC. I've really noticed a difference in the looks of my cars when I use a finishing pad for my last polishing step.
 
White is a hard color to make pop.....



I have the same problem with millenium yellow. To make it stand out the paint has to be right. No swirles before the reflective sealant is applied....



I use a few layers of Z2p w/zfx and Z8 to finish it off......



That combo is proven and effective. Good luck with your car.....:xyxthumbs
 
I have great shine to my white car with Zaino products. Wash, zpc, clay, z2 and for shows z8. Here are a few photos of what white can REALLY do! Car has never been wet sanded! :woot2:
