how to keep my bay cool in summer months

I am tired of roasting in my bay during the summer. It gets warmer in my bay than outside. I am looking for an ac that doesn't need to be vented, if possible. I have a bay door with no holes and one window that is fixed. It does not open. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no such thing as AC that doesn't need to be vented. Would you be ok not completely closing your door? What sort of power do you have available? Do you have 220 or at least one dedicated 110v outlet just for the AC?

John, great minds think alike! I was about to suggest the same.

Not sure "northeners" know much about them, more of a "southern" thing.

just did a little research on these swamp coolers. The message I'm getting is they only work in hot, DRY climates. My shop is in new england where humidity is out of control. Would it still work?

Not true at all. I have a few neighbors that have them up here, and they work great.
