Hi people im new to this forum but after reading a lot of posts I decided to Purchase a PC along with some other products, this is what i currently have-

Porter Cable 7424

Sonus DAS pad kit

Sonus SFX-1

Sonus SFX-2

Sonus SFX-3

Mothers 3 Step kit

Ive got to try & revive the paint on my Girlfriends car, Its a 1991 model metallic brown/gray 626 mazda & although its been washed regularly I dont think its ever been polished & the paint looks kind of sad, with swirls & small scratches everywhere :( anyway what I would like to know is what steps do people recommend I Should take to try & correct years of abuse?

Thanks in advance :D

I didn't even know anyone made a brown car...

Using what you have, I would go orange pad with SFX-3, and then I think the green is the next in aggressiveness. Use that with SFX2, then the blue with SFX1. Use whatever topper you want/have.

Of course, a wash and claying are highly reccomended before the mentioned steps are used ;)

LOL, yeah I had the period too close to the link and realized it right after I hit the submit button. Sorry about that.

Thanks for the info & the Link, Im just a little confused Because I thought the Sonus products Went from 1 to 3 with 1 being the most abrasive, Restore, Enhance & final Finish? & also should I follow the 3rd step with a sealer & Glaze & than the wax or just the wax? Oh & yes Mazda decided in there wisdom to paint a car brown, its actually not too bad a colour, its sort of a cross between Metallic Brown & Gray, but its still not my favourite colour, Ill post some pictures when im finished.

A brown car? Only one thing comes to mind: "You can polish a turd...."

:o

no to answer the last question you just asked, I would put a sealant (not glaze... but a poly. sealant) with a wax topper. This will give you a little bit of added durability.
