How to clean Old Skool Gold Vogue Daytons?

Hi All,

A friend of mine dropped off some old skool Vogue Daytons from the 90s, that were never cared for in about 15 years! I was able to remove most of the baked on brake dust using my VX5000 steamer.

The remaining grit/grime I'm not sure how to clean up because the space is so small between the spokes, and I'm trying not to fade any of the gold that is left.

So, today I'm asking the members of Autopia, on how would you cleanup some old Daytons?

Below is are some pics of the situation. I'd appreciate any info you can provide.

I've been in the New Car business all my adult life and have seen a lot of gold plating done in the 70's and 80's. As you can see, it's awful thin and delicate, so avoid abrasives. I'm thinking something like Car Pro Trix, or Iron-X paste, gently agitated, might be the ticket, but it might be worth contacting Car Pro regarding compatibility with the plating.
