Im wanting to wash my bench seat in my truck. It doesnt have any stains but it holds a lot of dust. I have to wipe down the dash more than once a week because the dust builds up. How would I go about doing this? I can easily remove out of the truck for easier access and drying. Any tips would be helpfull. Thanks.

Is it a cloth bench seat? I would just use any of the commercial automotive carpet cleaners available. Test in a small area first for colorfastness.

I like the Meguiars APC+ and the EF carpet and upholstery cleaner available from CMA.

Yes its a cloth seat. This will remove the dust though? I think im getting the Meguiars APC+ because its so versitile.

Vacuum first to remove most of the loose dust and dirt. Then use your carpet cleaner according to it's directions. Most of these products seem to work by binding the dirt and crud together, and then floating it to the surface with foam where it can be blotted or vacuumed off.

Check to see if your truck's AC has a filter on it. Lots of trucks don't have filters. You need to buy them and have them installed seperately. Might want to check that out. I know my truck's dash is always covered with dust. Like the day after cleaning it has dust all over it.
