Hi

I plan to attack swirls and holograms with a Meg's finishing pad and 3M PI-III 05937. The question is do I buff it? Do i need to dry-buff or buff until the residues remain?

thks.

thats MG right?. In my experience, you can dry buff using 3M's product not like Megs. But it is better not to buff too dry since you might induce micromarring because of the pads.

from the mfr inst., yes you may but I dont think you'd be satisfied by the results not unless the swirls are too light.

yeah it's MG.Can I apply it by hand as well?,

Machine Glaze works great by hand. I use it for light stuff or as a follow up to PI III and II Rubbing Compound.

What stevet said :xyxthumbs I don't buff it "dry", but rather to the point where it's "almost dry". You do want to break down the abrasives but it doesn't take much work to do that. Some people here (whose opinions I respect) *do* buff it dry, so it seems to be a rather forgiving product with regard to how you work it.

FWIW, I prefer to hit holograms with a pass using PI-III RC first, to do the lion's share of the work. All depends on how bad they are and how hard the paint is.
