How to apply Opti-Bond

Less

I just received my gallon of Opti-Bond. I'm going to try it as a dressing for my tires, wheel wells, and 3.2 acres of black trim that I have on my Honda CR-V.

Originally, I had planned on using a spray bottle to apply the product either to a towel, or directly on the surface. But, the product seems to be a little thicker than I expected. So here are my questions

1) Has anyone ever applied this product via Spray Bottle?

2) If that didn't work, what did you use instead? Squeeze bottle/applicator?

3) Can it be diluted. The directions recommend a 1:1 dilution if you're using it with an air compressor sprayer, but nothing specific to non-compressor usage.

4) how counterproductive is it to dilute a water based product like this?

3.2 acres of black trim? Is that exact? I thought there was a little bit more..

I don't have the answers to all of your questions, but I know that it can be diluted 2:1, and I've even read on here of someone doing it 3:1 without any adverse effects.

I just purchased a gallon of Opti-Bond also, and I originally thought I was going to use a spray bottle but now I think I'm going to purchase something like in this thread:

Dilute it 1:1 regardless if you use a spray gun or not. You won't see any noticeable difference in gloss or durability.
