How the heck do I get dirt and saw dust out of my MF towel??

Ok, I have some MF towels that have saw dust, wood chips, and crap in them. The washer does not get it out. Is there an easy way to clean them? Thanks!

I would say try some tape. It might just be able to pluck the stuff right outa there. This is speculation, I don't think you'll unravel the MF by doing that but I haven't tried it. Got the idea today actually...

I hate to say this, but the only way to get wood chips out of MF towels is a pair of tweezers, time and patience. I had to do this with a few of my MF towels because they got set down on a sheet of particle board. :( In retrospect, it takes so much time to do it, that I think my time is better spent on new towels.

You washed it hot water? I have found that washing in hot water will "release" stuff from MF's which warm water will not.

If that doesn't work, the tape idea sounds good, but I would just one of those lint rollers.

I had the same problem. My neighboor was having a monster tree cut down and wood chips were everywhere, they ended up in my detailing bag of towels.

The MF's hold on to those woodchips real good. I washed and washed and washed. Nothing worked and i was not going to sit down and pull each one out with tweezers.

So i went out and bought all new towels $$ almost 4 dozen MF towels.

I still have the old towels for when i need a towel to remove some grease or something that will stain and then i can through them out.

NYD
