How often should I polish

I seem to be using SSR1 about 5x per year, with the occasional SSR2 prior to it. My vehicle is a 2007... should I tone it down a little so I don't abrade my clearcoat to nothing?

technically, iam not sure but i thought PB SSR1 is a very mild polish and clearcoat is a very hard finish so mmmmm ill leave it for some1 else here

if you keep your car for 20 more years and continue the same procedure, you will probably make it through 1/2 of the first coat of clear :inspector: .... don't worry about it, it will take a lot stronger products to take away your clearcoat ;)

While I agree with Steve you will do little harm I will point out that if you find it necessary to polish 5 times a year then you need to change your method of washing.

I go a year or more and still don't have enough marring to justify polishing but their was a time when I could not do that.

Once I get my paint in perfect condition I try to keep it like that instead of constant paint correction.

Sounds great and a good confidence boost.

I'm usually very careful, but what can I say I like to polish/wax my truck.

As far as washing I usually use a touch-less coin op wash, followed by S&W. I RARELY ever use a bucket method.

Thats fine i was just pointing out that if you needed to polish that often you needed to examine you cleaning but if you are doing it just to have something to do I would like to have you for a neighbor I could find plenty of things around here for you to do. :D
