How often do you run into your customers in your normal life?

For me, probably several times a month. At the grocery store, at restaurants, at the movies (like yesterday), etc. My kids used to say "is everyone your customer?". :p
 
Several of my clients have both a business and a personal relationship with myself and my wife. So many times we go to dinner or to the movies with them.



This type of relationship can be tricky though if one cannot seperate the two. What I really hate is when a client sees you but because they see you as hired help they go about as if they don't know you. That has happened with me before and gets me angry but it's their hang up not mine. Just as long as they keep paying I am OK :)

It's only happened twice that I remember. Of course my detailing base is not as extensive as Scottwaxes.

One woman I ran into was so proud because she just got done washing her car. I felt like correcting some of the water spots and streaks, but I resisted.
 
I see cars that we have done all over town . We actually put a sticker on every single vehicle we polish. It has my Logo and our name address phone #. It says this vehicle has been professionally polished by Auto Care USA. Sometimes we may be sitting at a stop light and I see one of our stickers on a nice shinny car.
 
Yeah, its pretty neat to see a car and say "damn that car looks great" then as you get closer you realized you detailed it. :)



I see my clients all over the place, sometimes they wave, other clients, as Anthony said, act like you dont exist. Oh well. Its life.

Putting stickers on vehicles, isn't that risky? If you put a sticker on vehicle of someone that doesn't maintain their car well, the person could be driving around town with a very poor looking vehicle thereby, looking negatively on your company?

I see my customers all the time outside of the shop (although we are downtown and most work down here). I have a couple of really good customers that I see more often because I have a mentoring relationship with them where they will help advise me on business (and sometimes life).
 
You put a sticker on mine and you'll be removing it and that will be the last time you'll see me........except you'll be hearing from others how I've been bad mouthing you to everybody who'll listen.



A guy just don't do that! Total disrespect.....imo.
 
I see them all the time...most of my cleintele are cops, firefighters, emts or the neighbors!

Hey, you usually have good ideas, but this one i dont know about.

I agree with others, if i went for detail and they but a sticker on my car, the sh!t would hit the fan.
