I wash Betsy at least once or twice a week, quick detail her three to four time a week and clean the interior every few weeks. I do clean the driver's side mat every day. Wax her every few months. In the winter I try to wash and detail her once a week, if possible.

Hey, Aurora40, I'm just addicted to The Old Dominion. (Emigrant southerner that I am.) But, yeah, I found the clay to yield amazing improvement. Friends dropped by as I was finishing with clay, and they thought I had done a full detail. Appearances aside, I sure could feel the difference. :up
I just thought I'd also throw in my 2 cents about the claying issue. Sometimes I've found normal waxing with a foam pad alone can shear off some of the contamination from the paint just like clay does. That's why I have to change (or flip/rotate) applicators sometimes and find it's picking up dirt, even though I was sure to clean the paint first.

I'm another one of those people that does everything in sporadic chunks. Wash and QD one day, do the interior some other day, wash, rinse, repeat..... I used to throw on another coat of S100 every couple of weeks before the temperature dropped, but haven't waxed it for months now since I'm overdue for one of the regularly scheduled biannual "total overhauls". The topped Klasse seems to have survived though, unsurprisingly. :)

Welcome to Autopia Betsy02! :welcome

FULL detail - 3 times a year. Today, I spent 8 hours on a full exterior detail. Sorry no pics. I can't move; I hurt too much. Full interior comes next weekend.

Weekly hand washings which include windows, door jambs, 303 on trim and tires. Interior wipe down.

Once a month - carnuba topper, interior dressing.

Once every three months - Wheel Wax

I do a full detail once to twice a year, depending on how much the paint needs it. I usually wash when I have time, sometimes it's once a week and sometimes it's once a month. I dust the car off pretty much everyday and spot QD every other day. I usually add another coat of Zaino everytime I wash. The interior gets attention about once every two to three months. I'll dust the dash with my mini duster and loosen the dirt on the floormat after each wash though.

Daily Driver BMW

Full Process, Clay,PPCL,Klaase AIO,KlasseSG x 5, Topped with PS. 3 Times per year.

Wash once to twice per week. Coat of Souveran every Sunday. If it gets the second wash mid-week then I just Crystal Mist it.

Interior once per fortnigt.

Going to try wheel wax shortly. Intend on that at least fortnightly but probably every week like the Souveran.

2hotford,

I believe that if you wash every week when permitted you will not have to worry about too much wax of vehicle. Also because of the solvents in waxes a little of the previous coats is also removed. Not all, but some.

Daily driver so I can't bear to drive around in a dirty car. If weather is consistently good, it gets a QD every day and I QD door jambs and vacuum every 3-4 days depending on the circumstances. Wash 1-2 times a week. Wax once a month. Full engine detail, 2-3 times a year. Not into all the undercarriage detailing that stuff never gets touched. Ahhhh.... the life on an Autopian!:D

There are only 2 things that keep me from keeping my daily driver in concourse condition:

1) the gf

2) weather

If it weren't for them, I'd live in a 2-storey garage.

Hey- that's not a bad idea...

I just want a place like Dan Tana's drive-in pad in the late 70's series, "Vega$" . . . is that so wrong? :D

hehe...Dan Tana's garage house...:bow...that's about the only thing I remember about that show -- other than his red T-Bird...

Both of my cars are daily drivers.

-CCD/QD every 2-3 days (it never rains here).

-Wash rims twice a week (gotta use up my gallons of shampoo one way or another!)

-Full Wash and vacuum & wax once a month.

-Polish or glaze maybe every two months.

-Major detail once a year.

What, you don't remember the hot secretary/sidekick, "Beatrice"? I was 13 when that show was airing . . . she's one of the main reasons I watched! :D

Wash and QD my car twice a week wax once a month interior vacum and wipe down interior twice a month full detail twice a year including engine. My wifes van gets about one half

I Spray and Wipe daily, vac every other day (have dog in truck daily), then I have a monthly check list I follow religiously that includes EVERYTHING including power washing and painting chipped spots on the undercarraige, cleaning and using 303 under the hood, etc.

I made the list when I got the truck last summer but since I've come here, to Autopia....the home of the leaders of the obsessive/compulsive disorder club, the monthly detail list has grown siginificantly to include, for instance, the part of the bumper that is covered by the license plate but which gets really dirty if the plate isn't removed and the area cleaned/polished/waxed/sealed.
