How often do u wax, polish, and everything

i only wax a few times a year ... usually i'll have a multi-layered job that lasts enough

i think i'm missing something?

Wash as needed but usually weekly.

Clay 2x a year.

Polish 2-3 x a year.

Wax or sealant every 2-3 weeks but sometimes extended up to 8 weeks (when using Klasse).

Wash weekly

Apply dressings every two weeks

Wax monthly

Clay as needed

Polish as needed

I will also throw in a glaze here and there, depending on my mood.

weekly(in order)

-interior/trunk vacuum then wipedown

-tire/wheel well scrub then dress,

-exterior wash (2 bucket, new wash solution way 1/2 through)

-door jamb wipe down

-exterior moulding dressed

-exterior glass cleaned

-interior scent applied (new car + vanilla)

monthly(in order)

-motor degreased, underhood wiped down

-motor dressed

-interior/trunk vacuum then wipedown then dressed

-weatherstripping wiped then dressed

-exterior wash (2 bucket, new wash solution way 1/2 through)

-exterior glass cleaned, then interior glass cleaned

-muffler degreased and polished (steel #0000 + nxt polish)

6month

-rotate wheels

-hand dress wheel wells

-paint polished, swirls attacked :waxing:

yearly

-undercarriage degreased, wiped, dressed

every 2nd month, i use a paint cleaner. am i the only one that clays once a month :nixweiss i dont apply pressure to the clay, just to help the wax set :think2 . i see everyone else apply pressure to clay, but i dont :argue my white paint staint alot ...thank nj for that :sadpace: and that its a daily driver....when i wax monthly with the sealant my pads are dirty from the paint

I follow GSRstilez regimen almost to the letter. during the high pollen spring months though, I QD every morning or every other with #425. And spot polish if absolutely necessary as well in between full details. Twice a year, though I reserve a 3-day detail for my car and my wife's car (each) and do a show-style detail. "No clients, no calls, no emails, and no discussions about what do you want to do this weekend hunny?" My wife calls me George on those weekends as I was once quoted quoting Mr. Castanza: "You wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts!"

^^Bah. I just thought of this ater my post...I just finished my wife's 3-Day'er and her brake light went out. Audi replaced it on the spot when she took it in. While she's drooling over the new A4 Cabrio, the servie manager says, "Ok, it's all fixed...it'll just be a minute while they take it over to cloister and get it washed." She freaked out......then she pointed out the webbing from the wash that was not there before. YEAH JULIE! he claimed that he forgot that our cars don't get washed and must be serviced with mats, gloves, and booties. I bet they love me. :)

Hey guys ,

i see some of you saying you paint clean, could someone explain to me what that is and how do it . I have never heard of it and would like to try it out since so many of you do it.

Thanks again,

ian

when we say cleaning paints we talk about removing above and below surface contaminants that have bonded to the paint that a normal wash wont remove...most above surface contaminants can be removed with clay. below surface contaminants, we like to use a product with cleaning abilities..most of us use a polish with mild cleaning abilities

Besides washing as needed, I polish in May and November (Klasse AIO) followed by three coats (24 hours apart) of Glaze protectant (Klasse SG). I have a billit silver colored truck. No wax and no claying. I QD often with a home brew of 3 parts distilled water/1 part Klasse SG. Total interior is done about once a month.

How does that home-brew QD work out? I just did a Klasse job on a new car and was wondering if the 3:1 QD brew is hard to wipe-off?
