How many wax layers?

I have a brand new black 350Z. I'm using all Pinnacle products and doing everything by hand. I used the Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion and have since applied 6 coats of Souveran. I allow it to cure between applications.



My question is can I keep layering the Souveran with infinite layers? Or at some point, do I have to go back to the Cleansing Lotion taking all of the wax off and start over? If so, how often?



The car is a "toy" so it is garaged at night, doesn't see rain, and is only driven on nice days. So the paint will remain clean.

No, really 2 is enough, but if you like waxing, fine. Don't kid yourself that you're building a thicker and thicker film, though.

2 layers that is all you need.Souvern says you can keep laying but I don't think it does any good.If you car is indoors and driven very little after every wash throw on a coat of wax and it will shine like there is no tomorrow.

Under your defined conditions, once a month should be much more than enough.



Me? I would start with a fine, 2 step sealant (Klasse Twins?) applied every six months, with a Souveran topper monthly.



In fact, that's the regimen I use on my black 92 Miata . Stunning. I could not be more pleased.
