How many use VM? What do you like/dislike about it?

I had it on my truck before I prepped it for winter. I believe when I put it on I used SSR2/VM/EXx2/TSx2. The truck is Sonic Blue (Ford) and all I can discribe it is glowing wetness. I don't want to give all the credit to VM but it did add to the overall look. I had a car over the summer that was so badly swirled it was still had cobwebs after final polish so I used VM/NXTx2 and the swirls were completely gone. I haven't had much luck on plastic trim. I used it on my trucks trim this weekend and after a light rain the oils ran down the side of the truck, maybe I didn't wipe it enough. On the soft trim (window seals) it works great. I haven't used it as much as other products, but overall it's a very unique product that has a place on my shelf from now on.

VM is the one product that I use nearly everytime I detail, including my own. When it comes to hiding fine scratches while producing a wet deep shine nothing I have used comes close. Also really easy to apply and looks unbelievable when topped with a good carnauba like TS.

I used quite a bit of VM this year. It is one of my favorite products. I like the versatility of the product (use it on paint, glass, plastic, smooth trim, chrome, etc.) and the glossy appearance it leaves behind. I don't really have any dislikes. I only have one point of concern and that is a potential durability issue with follow-up sealants due to VM's oils/fillers content. This is not a worry for my personal vehicles as I can detail them whenever I wish. However, I do have some trepidation about using VM + sealant combos on vehicles that I will not be able to maintain regularly.

Earlier this year, I experimented with various base coats for Poorboy's EX and EX-P sealants. During that time, I observed that SSR1 and VM produced very similar looks. When used with polishing pads, VM looked just a little better to my eyes but very close. However, when I tried SSR1 with a finishing pad, it was virtually indistinguishable from VM. Because of this finding, I have decided to go with a SSR1 + EX-P x2 combo this winter for my daily driver. It is my hope that durability will be greater with SSR1 as a base coat (no oils/fillers) than VM. We shall see.

I'm am relatively new to detailing, I bought VM to try it out! I was very impressed. It left the surface very smooth and clear and helped fill very minor stuff up for that flawless kind of look. I like the way plastic mirrors and rubber around windows looked after polishing, It's a very nice product. I recommend this product if your looking for a nice glaze.

With that being said AIO is one of my favorite products, I have never used a product that cleaned so well and also leaves a nice shine and some protection behind. AIO will always be by my side.

If your looking to Glaze use VM, If your looking to clean and protect AIO. It's like comparing apples and oranges, If I'm looking to hide fine micro scratches and a little extra shine I'll use VM, If your not looking to hide and have a nicely polished finish I would go AIO. AIO is more valuable to me, and glazes are for that showcar like finish. Not that AIO couldn't be used for that show car finish, but It first needs be properly polished before AIO. Does this make any sense? I don't know after using each product, thats pretty much the way I look at it.
