How many miracle towels do I need?

I am ordering:

-Klasse AIO

-Klasee SG

-Blitz wax

Will use absorber for drying, then towel for whats left. So do I need seperate MTs for each product?

About a 1000 will do but thats expensive.

For rough estimates figure the following:

3 to dry at most.

3 to remove AIO

3 to remove SG

4 to remove Blitz

But to make sure buy 9,987 more.

My motto is you cannot have enough. You will find more uses for them like the interior, wheels, windows, faucets, showers, wifes behind, etc etc etc.

Start with 10 or 20 and see how it goes. Get the detailing ones and maybe a few of the exceptional ones too.

Does anyone know if CMA has fixed the linting problem with their MF's? I just got some stainless steel appliances today and the MF really keeps the surface clean and free of fingerprints. I have 10 of YoSteves, 3 linting CMA's and 5 Vipers. I guess I need about a couple of dozen more.....

Get as many as you can afford. You will find tons of uses for them. Try some different kinds like YoSteve, CMA, Tacscar or Neatitems and see which ones you like the best and which ones fit into your budget.

I keep just enough MT's to load the washing machine (35) without having the "unbalanced load" light keep turning on.

Other than that, for each car I use 2 to dry & dust the interior, 2 to QD & then 2 to remove an application of wax/sealant.

<strong class='bbc'>How many miracle towels do I need?[/b]</blockquote>Was that a rhetorical question?;) But seriously, you can't have enough of these things. They're great! Buy as many as you can and you'll definitely find a use for all of them. Keep a close eye on them because they tend to mysteriously disappear after you show them to friends!

JC tell us how many you settle on buying then report if it was enough or do you want er need more. I am curious being a MF nutt.

bretfraz, are those the jumbo towels from topoftheline.com? I am going to purchase some of those babies, but I was wondering how plush they are before I do. Does the quality of the jumbo's match that of the small ones?

Thanks,

Josiah

No kidding - all you can get. I bought a case from Meguiar's. I keep two or three in each car (two for the exterior, one for my sunglasses and car windows), and a boatload in the detailing rack. I started labeling them with their purpose - "wax remove", "detail spray", etc - however now that I have enough I just grab a freshly washed one, use it for one purpose and throw it on the to-be-washed pile. I think a dozen is a useful minimum.

yes, from TOL. They're really nice. Seem to be exactly the same as the smaller ones. Go for it, you'll love them.

The two on the far right are the TOL Ultra Suede and oooooh they're nice too. Very very smooth and soft. Perfect for that final polish before the judges walk over.

cant wait to see...can u really dry practically the whole car with just 1:confused: ....also...whats with all those labels i see...on the mF's....be careful with those suckers...i hate to pull them off cause sometimes it starts unthreading(yes this is a word) the area....you and cybercowboy should get together....you guys have the perfect car cover....unless it rains...:D

I'd agree with FLONI that you should be really careful with the tags. Personally, I carefully ripped the tags off of my MT's with no problem. Wish I could say the same about "the other" microfiber with the cheap edges..

Let us know how the big towels turn out, FLONI!

I went and counted my MF collection and I was amazed it is <strong class='bbc'>107[/b].

I still have a partially opened box of about 50 that I plan giving away for Xmas this year. Wel that is unless I use them first. I will buy myself some more after Xmas as well I bet.

I am thinking I will try them MF socks I saw somewhere.

How many do you have?

I'll carefully slice off the tags ASAP. Don't want to yank them off as Floni remarked.

To dry, I use a CWB to remove the water on the large panels and glass. The one jumbo mf for everything else. I was amazed at how absorbent it was. I usually go thru 3-4 medium cotton hand towels to dry. Now I only use them for the grubby areas like door jambs, under the hood, etc.

Hey, anybody need a set of wheels and tires?:D

Wow! Over 100 microfiber towels! I don't feel so bad now. Remember I'm the guy who's easily spent over $700 in microfiber towels and Charismas in a 12 month period.

I am thinking of buying more. Since I will be gving some away, which is pretty hard to do I must say.

Storage tip:

I put 5 in a gallon ziplock baggy thingy. All the same type. Then I label so it made counting easy.

I do not want to know what I spent on them. Probably make me loose my name in the marshall hat.

Can one of you guys plan a neatitems group buy like bmduncan did? I think each person averaged 10 MF towels for around $32. His post is somewhere on this board. Sorry, I don't know how to link other threads.
