No problem. I wasn't sure if that was allowed. He always has free shipping, carries the full line and the prices are great. I always order a case when I get low. His website is, Karl Racing Home. Just mention BradNC from here sent you if there is a place to indicate it.

I've been using 5L of CarQuest Synthetic 5W-30 in my 2004 Toyota Matrix XRS 1.8L at increments of 5000-6000 miles. Wife's Toyota Sienna van gets the same treatment.

Mobil 1 and a Motorcraft filter

usually 7k to 7500

Well my odo doesn't work, but I try and keep it around 3k. I figure it's best to baby an old car if you want to keep it running as long as possible!

Neat poll!

I just changed my oil with Mobil 1 15,000 mile synthetic. Cost me right around 50 bucks with the Mobil 1 filter. I figured I would change the filter at 7500. That oil testing service looks pretty cool I think I may use it.

Oh, it's in a 99 F150 not a BMW but I've run Mobil 1 in all my vehicles for years and have always gone 7500 miles with no problems.

Mobil1 Synthetic 0W-40 in my '98 328i using BMW's filter kit. Changed every 7-8k.

Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W-30 in the '01 Grand Caravan, FRAM filter. Again changed every 7-8k.

I figure the additional cost of the synthetic is balanced by the extended oil change period. Seems like I was always under the cars when I was changing conventional oil at 3k.

I should probably look at changing the BMW's filter mid way through the cycle since it's so easy to do. But so far I haven't.
