I was reading a thread on another forum about the number of Towels used for various jobs. There was a large difference in the number used.
A couple of examples:
For me to do a complete detail.
1 large WW for drying after washing.
1 for the windows. Sometimes 2.
1 to remove polish residue. If I used two or three steps of polishing, I would use one MF for each step.
1 for removal of each sealant or wax.
For the unforeseen.
At least one extra to replace the one that you drop or get contaminated in some way.
I rarely use more than four.
Miscellaneous uses.
Clean the vehicle with Poorboy's Spray & Wipe - 2
Clean the vehicle with DP Rinseless Wash - 2
Use a QD - 1
Apply Dura Gloss Aqua Wax - 1
For the interior - 1 cotton terry towel, 2 if I treat the leather.
For tires -1 cotton terry towel
For wheels - 1 cotton terry towel
Another person's requirements.
Use a QD - 3
Wash and dry car - 8
Remove polish after using DA - 5
Full Detail, wash, dry, 3 steps of polishing and one application of LSP - 20
Obviously, there is some variance.
How many would be typical for some of you to use for the different jobs?
