How many MF towels do you have (honestly)

About 70 and just ordered some lovely DF towels.

Pak's,CMA's,NeatItems,MF Tech,JT Intl.,a couple of grey's from Target and the above mentioned DF's on the way.

Looking forward to ordering some DMT's from PB's, and some Monster Fluffies from Detailer's Paradise.

Anyone wash with Woolite or a microfiber specific detergent? Are they worth buying? I currently use liquid tide.

I use woolite and put vinegar in a fabric softener ball (no fabric softener) for release during final rinse. Always end upf with clean towels!

I use woolite too, and add vinegar myself at the begining of the final rinse, seems to work pretty well.

I probably have about 30 MFs, but most of them I just use for interior stuff, I ahve very few that are paint only, really need to order some more.

I have a habbit of going and cleaning just the front seats, or one of the floor mats, cleaning/polishing the lights but not the car, so I go through them sort of quick.

24 Vroom- white and grey, really like these.

3 megs- gold class for paint, not bad but havent tried any from the online retailers yet.

I use Charlie's Soap Laundry Liquid for everything these days, with a little pretreatment with Charlie's APC. I have to confess I got a little carried away when I started using it and wasn't using enough, I'm now just about back up to their recommendation of 1 oz/full load.

I only have 26 right now, most of which are lower quality but they have been getting the job done so far without noticeable marring.

Meg's Water Magnet x2

Cobra Guzzler

Yellow Turtle Wax x2 (first ones I bought)

Vroom x 9

Chemical Guys x 12

Next I'll either be ordering some of the new higher end Chemical Guys MF's or maybe an assortment from PakShak.

Yup I use Woolite too (no vinegar though). I used to wash MF Detergents like Mirco-Restorer and Pinnicale's product but could never keep enough of the stuff around. I find the woolite does just fine.

I must have 20 or more when u count Waffle Weaves for drying and still buying. I picked up a Meguiars Supreme Shine Microfiber from Pep Boy's last time in on a whim and love it. On my Black Audi this towel leaves no scratches and doesn't trap the product leaving lines in the paint.

I've washed it 6 times already and it's still as good as the day I got it.

MF towels are no different than any other type in that over time (frequent use and washing) they will lose their intended effectiveness, softness, color, what have you and need to be replaced.

The better one's will prolong this for sure but inevitably I always find "rotating" my stock to keep pristine polishing, LSP removal and drying towels. The old one's like others have said, get demoted to less critical duty.

I easily have over 100, but a lot of those have been demoted to "grime" towels and household duty over the last couple of years. I probably have 40 or so "good" towels in the rotation right now . . .

Tort
Exactly the same.

I only have 8 good ones (pakshak) and like 15 low quality ones.

How much woolite do you use? Is it the same amount that you would use if you were doing it with regular laundry detergent? Also does the vinegar leave a smell in the washer?

What does the vinegar do?

Yup, I find that the vinegar makes them very soft and fluffy plus it's supposed to help release trapped grime and residue. It doesn't make the towels or the washing maching smell at all.

Vinegar has seemed to revive some older towels and it just leaves everything feeling and looking great. I've mistakely used LSP removal MF's on glass with no problems so I guess it really does remove all the residue from the towels.

I use the vinegar with a second rinse cycle and then air dry. I only use distilled, white vinegar as recommended by several here.
