How many layers you sick puppies?

Quote: cause all that work of waiting 24 hours between each coat or something. i don't think is very practical.

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

Zanio is a synthetic polymer wax, a compromise between a polymer sealant and a natural wax. The polymers do not require a lengthy cross-link (cure) time as ZFX is formulated to accelerate the time requirements. Z-2 produces the most gloss of the two synthetic waxes (although they’re labelled as polishes) it is more optically clear then Z-5 and will highlight any surface imperfections, whereas Z-5 will ‘hide’ very minor surface imperfections with fillers.

Using Zanio’s ZFX accelerator there is no need to wait between “layers’

By applying more products on top of one that has already cross-linked you can increase it’s density (up to a point). The thin film of product that’s applied isn’t really another layer.

Each subsequent applications adherence process is that the solvents work their way into the microscopic gaps and valleys of the previous ‘layer’ thereby creating an anchor, and by surface tension, when the paint film surface is level then this density can no longer be increased (i.e. there is nothing to anchor to)

A level paint film surface improves the paint film surface’s desired optical properties (i.e. surface reflectance, clarity, gloss, and depth of shine)

~Hope this helps~

At my sickest, I washed, clayed, swirl removed, re-washed, Zaino'd, and then topped my brothers MX-3 with #26 paste.

It took me 2 hours just to clean his rims (had never been done).

My car gets waxed once a week, whether it needs it or not.

People at work bug me about wax buildup- I wish I had that problem...:p

For me maintaining my cars (both mechanically and cosmetically) is therapy. Contrary to what someone else posted earlier most of us who wax monthly do it because we enjoy it, not because we have to.

Guess some people have to make themselves feel better about their choices by bashing others choices.

Dad, what are you going to do this afternoon? "Wash my car and and clean the interior," I reply. Not again, you just washed it last week and it is still clean. I replied, "I know, compare my car to yours and tell me which one would you rather be driving to the mall or taking to school?" Yours!

I believe in leading and teaching by example and a clean car is just another example of teaching how you should care for a expensive item, IMO.

Cheers,

Eric
