How many layers of Jeffs Carnauba Jett...

..can I apply without my I.Q. falling into single digits? It seems really thin and fine compared to old paste carnauba in a can, so does that mean I can do 2 - 3 - 4 plys without being stoopid about it?

I got it pretty clean with with decent soap, Clay Magic and Jeffs Prime but have only one layer of Carnauba (Carnuba?) so far. It's handy to start with good paint.

Two layers for complete coverage would be good. Beading starts to increase in size by the 8th week, so I'd reapply another layer then.

Car looks terrific, really wet! :)

How do you apply JWC? WOWO or let haze. I just used Trigger and I WOWO and it was very easy like a qd. However, after reading the instructions, I let it haze and it was a PITA to remove.

hifiveo & I had the same problem - the first part I did was spray-n-spread/let-haze ... nada mas! That was a ***** to rub flat. For the rest of the car I simply spray'd the pad I used to rub it on. Even later I'd rub over the panel with the wet pad and then - quick - rub the hell out of it with a Micro towell.

I have a 4" air pad from Harbor Tools (cheap, light use, Chinese tools) that I think I'll make some sheepskins for and then get some speed/heat into it.

Max - you're right. I'll resize it.

Car looks great! What are your thoughts on Carnauba Jett compared to traditional waxes? I'm going to get the Werkstatt kit, but I'm not sure if I should get some Natty's Blue to go over Acrylic Jett: Trigger instead of CJ. Can you post up more pics as well?

Yuen: I'm just a civilain - most of the stuff I've gotten over the years has come from Pep Boys kind of places. I have Meguiar's #26 "Yellow" wax, Blue Coral, paste Carnauba ... but switched to Mother's Glaze and more recently Klasse glaze without a topcoat, so I'm just a tourist too - learning from postings of others here. The Jetts spiel about suspending carnauba in water seemed logical; so I bought some. That's about as smart as I am.

I've also pretty well detailed a 2001 P-Boxster I have and will take some more pics of both of them. I wouldn't be lurking around here if I, like you, didn't appreciate a little gloss. Thanks.

wetstuf, sealants do not 'layer' like pieces of paper or plys..2 applications should be perfect though, to ensure you have adequate coverage and durability.

Lightman: Great: I'll then pickup the spots I could not see I missed... I bought a double light-on-a-pole today to light the panels better. Surfboard shapers typically put fluorescent lamps about waist-high along sidewalls; that would probably be good for detailers too. Thanks.
