How many coats of wax?

Well, not technically wax I guess. I am using Liquid Glass (no I don't really want to get into a huge battle over what is best etc) and it mentions that "wait four hours for putting multiple coats" etc to let the wax dry or whatnot.

I just bought my 2010 Victory Red Camaro SS and I started by clay barring it (it needed it, bad, considering it was right off the showroom floor) then one coat of Liquid Glass. It's been a day and "baked" in for about 4 hours or so in the sun...so should I put another coat on, or is it a waste, or what?

It certainly couldn't hurt to put on another coat, especially after curing overnight. I'm not familiar with "liquid glass" product, but more quality waxes/sealants can be layered for extra durability.

What do I know about detailing but honestly it seems like a decent product. The car looks great after.

The only thing was, I am using my hands and noticed some holograms...which seem to go away after additional wiping, so I think I might have used a little too much product last time. Of course I did it in my garage so it wasn't until I pulled it out that I noticed and corrected it.

LG is a sealant and if you put two or even three coats it will insure full coverage, add a lot more clarity and protection

I didn't put any other type of wax on under neath that, is that ok? I'm about halfway through my second coat in as many days so I guess it's a little late to be asking...

One of the other forums had a nice writeup where someone with access to a coating thickness gauge compared several of the popular waxes and sealants. I think most stopped layering at 2 layers, can't seem to find it in my bookmarks. Nothing kept layering, and all of the products had very little additional added on each subsequent layer.

The more layers the better, great therapy, and can't hurt. I got 4 layers on in the past week and a half. And I feel much better mentally.

It looks great, and what do you mean the lighting sucked? You can't' ask for much more light than direct sunlight.

Looks like mid-day lighting, great for finding swirls, not for "ideal" photography. Its bright, direct and harsh. When the sun is lower, the light is diffused though the atmosphere creating a more "pleasant" light.

Pseudo-holograms like that are often the result of solvent action and an indication that the "layering" isn't really working all that well. I often get those when I try to do multiple layers of 476S, and I got 'em with six applications/layers of FK1000P too.

Just the way the sun was, and time of day, and location, most of my shots have huge sun spots glaring off the fender or something.

Doesn't Liquid Glass contain cleaners? If it does you might get better result topping the LG with a different sealant like Blackfire WDAFPP Klasse Sealant Glaze

etc.

Exactly! When it comes to photography, "lighting is everything". The best car shots always come from an overcast sky or near dusk/dawn. Direct sunlight, while not flattering, will show those swirls, though.
