Yeah, I just work it until it's almost dry, just like with a PC/Cyclo.
Unless you're using something very aggressive that really needs to break down just right it shouldn't be that big a deal, and I'd recommend easy-to-master products while you're getting acquainted with the rotary anyhow. Something like PI-III RC (05933) is pretty foolproof but still effective, even at reasonable speeds (i.e., ~1,250 rpms). Just don't dry it out too much and you'll be fine.
