Using the pc, how long should it take to polish (& buff) the entire car? How about wax? Obviously size of car & product play a role, but just looking for a ballpark number. 15 minutes? 30? 45? 1 hour? more?

If you mean just cleaning the paint for maximal bonding of your wax or sealant, then i suppose you could do it in about an hour.

But if you are looking for numbers for actual defect removal, you could be looking at a whole weekend, or 5 hours, depends.

Took me about 5 hours to do my car this weekend.

SSR 2, VM, RMG by PC

Clearkote Yellow Cream Wax & Wolfgang by Hand

Polish the Glass with AG Glass Polish.

It took me about 1.5hrs to do AIO/UPP on my car yesterday. I let the UPP sit for 2 hours after that, so then there was another 10 minutes to remove it. Then another coat of UPP 4 hours later, took about 10 minutes to apply, let sit for 3 hours this time, and then removed it - another 10 mins.

To do an actual polishing for swirl removal with the PC, it usually takes me a good 2 hours, sometimes more depending on the severity of the swirls. Sometimes you need more than one polishing step.

Thanks for the answers.

I spent about an hour & half yesterday using a paint cleaner/swirl remover polish and was kinda wondering if I'd spent too long. I'm gonna go with another polish today, and then a wax. I guess my time spent was probably in the ballpark, so I don't think I need to hurry up or slow down..

Yeah, I take forever when I'm trying to do a good job on the whole vehicle at once. I spent nearly 16 hours doing the black rent-a-Suburban this last spring, at least half that doing my wife's Audi. And those jobs were using the rotary for the worst of the polishing.
