How long has Klasse AIO been around?

The Rainmaker
Klasse AIO seems to be a great product that has been around for years.
I first started using it back in 2002 and I think it had been around for a long time before I ever tried it.
Does someone here remember how long ago it was introduced to the market?

Considering how good it works today, it must have been waaaay ahead of its competitors when it was first marketed. :)

Here's some additional info about AIO courtesy of David B. :

What is Klasse?
Klasse is a synthetic wax. To my knowledge, Klasse is the original two-step paint sealant system. The first formulation was released in 1969. It was a breakthrough admixing polyethylen carnauba wax replacement system. Through the years, Klasse has evolved with many improvements. The first major change came in 1986, when Klasse was modified from its original formula to use the latest polyethylene-acry compound technology. Between 1991 and 1996, the chemists made incremental improvements to improve durability by more than 30% and U.V. protection by 100%.

:bigups Interesting information.

It was also good that you credited the original author which hasn't always been done on various sites.;)
Hopefully, you also did it with David's permission.:)

David doesn't mind as long as I give the credit. I was cautious not to just post a link to the site where that info is located ;)

Last I checked, you don't get the boot for posting links to helpful sites around here. I'm sure Dwayne prefers that as much traffic stays on DC as possible, but it never hurts to cite your source.

i have heard of people using AIO on glass aswell...
would this be beneficial?

i have a small sample that i wish to try

any recomendations?

If you are trying to clean something then AIO is a great product. There are plenty of products that do a better job on cleaning glass other than AIO though. AIO is great for paint and that is pretty much where I stick to using it. I have used it on glass, but other than cleaning some waterspots that probably any polish would have gotten off, it doesn't do anything that normal glass cleaner wouldn't do. I would suggest against using anything on your windows that could affect light refraction or distort your vision through it. AIO would be one of those type products. If you are just looking for something to repel water then get some Aquapel or RainX. It will do better than AIO.

The funny thing is that I got some AIO and something else made by Klasse back in 1996 or 1997 for my stepmom when she got her new 4Runner. Wierd how I knew nothing about detailing back then but still managed to get some of the good stuff.
