How long does it take you guys??

I used to do it for a living, but thats been a few years now. these days, depending on the car, I can do a full detail in 4.5-7 hours.

Inzane, just wanted to say I love your car! I bought a 91 Z brand new, it was an awesome car.

since i only do it for extra cash im not in a huge rush and i tend to be meticuluous

with an interior detail (im really picky here ;)

about 8 hours

What ScottWax says is really true. Like anything elese you do alot you get good at it. I usually take 3.5-4.5 hours depending on the condition the car started from. This is a full detail in and out. The funny thing is though, What it takes me to do a customers car is usually alot less time than to do the same thing on my own car......??????? LOL

It varies for me, but if I'm full of <bleep> and vinegar, it can be as much as 2 days. normally, I'm in the 3 to 8 hour range depending if I need to sweat out the interior.

Right now, it would probably take me close to 3 days to get my ride back to where she should be. Just haven't had the time lately. <frown>

Average size car takes me approximately 3.5.

This includes wash/clay/polish/wax. Full interior detail, including shampoo with extractor.

3.5 hours for exterior only ... the interior is what really slows me down.

Interiors used to slow me down too, but with practice, I can usually vacuum, shampoo and clean the vinyl and leather in 30-45 minutes for cars and 45-60 minutes for SUVs. Nasty interiors do take longer and those times do not including dressing the interior-cars with cloth interiors can go real quick, 3 row seating SUVs with leather can be brutal.

I can do an average size car in average condition in about 3-3.5 hours. SUV's are normally 3.5-4 hours. I agree, that with practice and experience, you do get faster....it used to take me 3 hours just to do the exterior!
