How long does it take to wash your car?

it takes me 25 to wash and about 10-15 to dry. but i have drips of water that tend to come back, so after i finish i keep coming back every 10minutes or so. it takes me about 20 minutes for tires. windows.... i suck at windows. i've been out there doing them for 30 minutes b4 and they still suck. oh yeah, and this is a once a week thing. my time keeps going down the more i do it. starting to get a rhythm i guess.

oh yah. QD is a good 7minutes i guess. maybe more.

Man am I slow!

Normal wash, takes me about 2 hrs.....Then again my car is black, so extra care needs to be taken.

If I am waxing, then it takes me a good 4-5 hrs doing it alone. Being the car is black, the wax and polish smears, and makes a mess, and then I keep having to change bonnets on the buffer to buff it up nice. Then I have to get every nook and cranny in the wheels when I clean those.

But when its done....it will blind you from any angle in the sun! :xyxthumbs

My Maxima:

It depends whether I do a regular wash or get a little detailed.

If I get a little detailed, the Max takes around 2 hrs. I tend to pay special attention to the fuel filler area (tends to get a lot of grit in there) and my door jambs since I have the Anniversary Edition Sills in them. If I am doing a routine wash, it takes me around 45 min.

Father's Navigator:

That behemoth takes me 1 hr to wash it and that is just the outside .

Pastor's Concorde:

The last time I washed it took me 2 hrs because I had to pre-treat the car with tar remover and do a more thorough cleaning of the interior b/c of the grandkids and her daughter leaving crap all over the place. But I did something for :D. I took some of the dirty water from the wash to her house in a small bottle to show her how filthy her car actually was. She was shellshocked to see how much dirt came off of her car.

TOO LONG!!!

If I ever hit the Lotto I'm going to make a car port that

has pvc piping with water nozzles pointed at the various

areas of concern.[ top, sides, bac, and front of car ]

Just get out the bucket and wash surface with mitt or terry

then turn on one of the nozzles needed to quickly rinse.

Similar to an auto wash.

Car port will have canvas canopy to shade vehicle.

Not too fanatical, Huh!

For a basic wash and dry on my F150 it takes about an hour.

This weekend I vacumned, wiped down the interior, did the windows, washed, drying, Meguiars #7 and then Meguiars #26 in about 3.5 hours. Lots o' real estate on these trucks.

No, but a way cool idea.. wish I had thought of it.. :up

It takes me about 1-1/2 to 2 hours to do the Corolla including door and trunk jams and wheels/hubcaps/tires. Takes about another half hour to do the Accord.

Takes me a good 1/2 hour to just wash and dry the car. Rims/tires, quick interior go over, and windows adds on another hour to that time (rims are very time consuming to clean because of....I'll just post a pic).

For you extremely observant people, the center caps are on all wheels now. Also, the car is lowered more now.

45 minutes to 1 hour, once a week to do the F150.

It seems to take all morning if start doing anything more than wash and dry it, in-side and out.

After reading how long it takes to do some cars, I don't feel so slow anymore.
