How is your driving reaction time ?

Accumulator: Isn't that the truth. That is also my opinion. AutoX demands stability with their various transitions, where as a road course has "regular" turns (for the most part). My little Civic hatchback does great in "sudden transitions" as witnessed by the 3 wheel action I sometimes get through a slalom!

I'm a MONSTER! Remember I'm only 10 years younger than Ron. ;)

So, I got 29 a few times and 31 a few times ... so half my chronological age or better - sounds pretty good to to me.

First try (with a non-mechanical keyboard from work)

That's slow compared to what I get at the drag strip.

Has anyone beat 156 milliseconds?

3 tries between 23-26 first was 26, was really looking for a stop side on the side, not a giant one in your face :P

Doesn't matter how fast you react if you don't respond correctly. I'd rather see a test that has a more realistic scenario like a kid running out after a ball. Someone who is paying attention will usually see the kids playing from a distance and recognize the risk and be more vigilant as they approach.

Those are *GREAT* points!!

And note that the situations where Reaction Time is truly critical are almost always utterly unexpected; you're not (abnormally well) prepared for something to happen or "primed to be tested". My wife and I call it the "what the...?!?" moment, and there's seldom enough time for that.
