hey guys i have been still geting water spots and eatching after it rain and the car is not washed for a few days(i normally wash my cars about one or twice a week)

not matter what lsp sealant i use(bfwd,megs#21so on)

so i have seen good durability from the 3m performance finish(big lots 3 bucks)toped with optimum spray wax.

so is this a good combo?:waxing:

Its a good combo if you like it and it works for you.

Personally, I tend to like a good carnauba wax for better environmental protection.

A good 1 step product is Klasse AIO.

Klasse All In One Polish will remove oxidation, minor swirls, old wax, and other surface blemishes; leaving a beautiful and deep acrylic shine. Klasse All In One dries as fast as you apply it, and there is no risk of hazing or streaking. All-In-One contains no abrasives or silicones, and does not stain plastic, vinyl or rubber trim. It can be used on any non-porous surface.

BobbyG- is that KAIO description your personal take on it, or a copy of their ad-copy?

I'm betting the latter, and note that some of it is self-contradictory; they say it can "remove... minor swirls" (which it never has for me) even though it "contains no abrasives". Heh heh, they make it sound like even more of a miracle product than it really is :D

If somebody wants their AIO to do a little (and I do mean *very* little ;) ) swirl-removal, then Zaino's AIO might be a better choice.

It's directly from their advertisement. I'll copy the manufacturers information sometime especially if I haven't had "allot" of personal experience with it and the poster is looking for something more generic. I do have it and have used it and it's not a bad product at all. When I've used it I'll apply it using my Flex 3401 with either a green or white Lake Country pad. Just how much swirl removal takes place is anyone's guess but it definitely brightened up the surface and left it with a nice gloss. Klasse's claim regarding not staining trim is pretty much true which leave me wondering if it's more of a cleaner with gloss enhancers.

BobbyG- Yeah, I thought it sounded familiar :D I was sorta hoping my comments were about *their* ad-copy and not your personal opinion. And yeah, I agree, it *is* great stuff (sheesh do I use it for sooo many things!), I just think they overdo the "it does everything!" spiel and I don't want people to get it and be disappointed. What it *does* do, it does very well, no question about that IMO.

Hmm..I never tried it via Flex, only with the PC and Cyclo.

well i have the zaino aio and if thats a better product than the 3m then ill use the aio with a coat of the optimum spray wax.

i just read on here that the 3m stuff is very durable but i also know that the zaino sealants are also very durable(use to be a zaino freak lol)

but the zaio does have some abrasives in it and it can be used on a white pad and it will take very minor blemishes out but nothing to heavy.

The Zaino AIO does have some mild abrasives. I've never used the 3M stuff so I don't know if it's really durable or not (but I'd be a little surprised if it is).

I've heard that Zaino's stuff isn't all that great with regard to certain types of contamination, but again, no first-hand experience so I can't really say.

Zaino Z2 which I really enjoy working with, has very poor protection against water spotting, tree sap and bird poop. It sure can last a long time, however,

but that doesnt necessarily mean good protection.

so what should i get that will protect from water spots/eatching and bird bombs?

it seems no matter what sealant i use it still happens.

Just my two cents, but I am not a fan of the 3M Performance Finish. It seems like it is loaded with fillers and looks very greasy when buffed off...a big disappointment, since I do like the 3M Perfect-It polish for light and Perfect-it polish for dark colored vehicles.

Sealants aren't always the answer, despite what one might think. Heavily layered KSG is good, and FK1000P is too IME.

But often waxes like Collinite work just as well with regard to stuff like this and something like 476S can be unbeatable when you're only applying one coat.
