Picked up my new car on Saturday mornig at around 10am and went to Knockhill race track on the Sunday for a run here are a few pics.

I didn't go on the track as there were a few young lunatics in old bangers and I was afraid one might crash into my new car. Then on the road home tis happened

The reason - well it had to be a young lunatic in an old banger. I only had the car for 30 hours.

Sorry man, that hurts to look at!



Years ago, i worked at a Ferarri dealer and we had just delivwered our first F40....driving hiome there was a problem with the engine and the rear of the car went up in flames...thnakfully no one was injured and the owner actuially had a sense of humor about it
 
Wow, sorry to hear this news. The only good thing I can think of is an accident on any track could have been much more serious.

That car is amazing!



Do they have to remold the back end? Looks like quite a bit of fiberglass work.

The lotus dealer reckons the car can be repaired as only the rear clam shell ( the back section of fibre glass) and suspension are damaged. However any damage to the chassi will probably result in the being declared an insurance write off as it is one piece speacially bonded aluminium

Good thing they have strict gun control laws over there ;) Probably felt like killing the guy.



Hopefully they'll fix her right up and get ya (back?) on the road.
