From an experienced ("One" of a different variety) waterless wash user, I would say your pushing the envelope with using that type of product under those circumstances. In my understandings of what the products contain, as well as directives associated with the label, your MR2 had a little excessive amount of dirt, to justify using said product(s). I mean no disrespect, but its uses like this that (can) give these products a bad rap.....
Allbe the car looks great!, but would you have done the same, on a high end car with very little spiderwebbing?
Your application may have been appropriate if you know youll be detailing in the near future, and are just desiring a cleaned vehicle.....We're all guilty of taking shortcuts knowing we will take care of the larger picture in short time.
I think a presoaking with a NR type (NRWS/QEW), then skeepskin/bucket could have been deemed more appropriable, just behind a traditional soap and bucket....Just my $.02
