How effective are interior wipedowns?

mikebai1990- Thanks for elaborating. Heh heh, sounds like you're dealing with some pretty nasty stains, or at least worse stuff than I normally clean up.

I simply use simple green and a terry cloth for all plastic panels when I do an interior detail not just a wipe down. I have never experienced any problems with discoloration or anything else using this method. It works great and sometimes you can't see dirt on the center console where their arms rest or on the door panels where their arms rest. Then you spray some simple green on the terry cloth and start scrubbing and the pad instantly gets dirty and the panel clean. I have never tried any of the megs or any other AIOs so I don't know about them. After everything is cleaned I use cockpit premium from 1Z or natural look from Poor Boys.

while we're on the subject, does anyone have a good solution for light leather interiors that are saturated with body oil. I find that standard to aggresive cleaners dont have any extraction power and the leather remains tarnished. I once saw a used car manager at a car lot use brake cleaner on a rag which was effictive but a little terrifying at the same time. any suggestions?
