how does Zaino Fusion compare to other swirl removers?

Works very well, much like SSR2.5 in my opinion but you can work it in longer. See my Discovery detail in Click & Brag for some pics after polishing with it...
 
I did some side by side testing of IP and ZPC on a tattered old Toyota van. One application of IP on a polishing pad and a rotary polisher made a huge improvement on the surface where as 2 applications of ZPC with a polishing pad and rotary appeared to still need work. One pass of IP on the rotary solved that and made the two areas pretty close in appearance. YMMV
 
You sure can apply Zaino products after IP but i would not. Use the ZPC to get the most out of the Zaino line. It has to do with bonding. If it does not bond well then the best part of the Zaino system isgoing to be diminished.



ZPC cleans well and is very pad dependant as far as correction is concerned.
 
There isn't an issue with Zaino bonding to the Menzerna polishes at all. You get a squeaky clean surface from any of the polishes.

I agree that the results are close to SSR2.5 but I do think it flashes quicker the SSR2.5 causing additional application to equal one of SSR2.5. Also, when I use SSR2.5 on black cars I can see a slight haze just like ZPC leaves but will SSR2.5 you can use 1.0 to clean up the surface. Sal has been really straight forward about this and even posted it on his website that ZPC may leave a hazy surface. Now if I was betting man I bet there is work going on right now to fix this. What I think would be best is to increase the cut on the current ZPC and come out this a AIO like product with light cut and cleaning ability to jewel the surface. Just my thoughts….

I don't get any hazing when I work the polish properly.
 
The hazing which I have found to either be non-existent or very slight goes away with a Z-2/Z-5 application anyway.
 
ZPC will leave a slight haze with PC until one becomes acclimated to using it (PC, pad selection and Z-PC) and working the reducing abrasives to the point of a glazing or burnishing polish. At my stage of development I use Z-PC via rotary the majority of the time and quicky minor blemish repairs with the PC. My results are haze-free, even on black.

I have both polishes IMO the IP & FPII have some oils and the Z5 and Z2 pro bond better with ZPC. I agree it may be a little hard to get used to,but the effort is well worth it.



If you do use Menzerna before applying Zaino I would Wipe down with Z6 or Z8.



Before ZPC came out I seemed to have better luck with #80 then FP II, but always did a Z6 wipe down.



For a squeekly clean finish nothing can touch ZPC IMO.

That Discovery looks great, Lee -- question for ya: I plan on switching to Zaino this spring, and was going to use Z-PC, then Z2-Pro (ZFX'ed) with Z6 between coats, but noticed you used Z5 instead on the Discovery. Would Z2Pro be okay since I'm using ZPC to remove any swirls?

My Riwax White Polishing Paste is FULL of oils but nothing squeaks better or louder.



Menzerna polishes are absolute top, alongside Optimum.
