How do you use diapers?

Now I understand that the inside of the diaper is super soft, and anti-static, but with the elastic edges and Velcro bands how do you guys use the diapers??

Sorry if it seams like a dumb question, but searching showed nothing, and I've never had a problem with microfibers to use a diaper.

Thanks for anyone that answers!

Youre thinking of cloth diapers, the ones that are just edgeless cloth that you would have to pin on. Not disposable pampers or luvs

i like to put them diapers on a baby! lmfao!

you are thinking of the very old style diapers there just a heavy cotton cloth that was pined on the kid(i think it would be very damn gross to was em ewww)

a lot of old times still use em and you can get them at walmart in the auto section and a lot of people wont give 10 bucks a towel like some of us guys do so at least but the 8mf towels foe 5 bucks thats better than diapers.

Just in case it's getting lost in all the wisecracks, cloth diapers are very seldom soft enough for use on automotive paint.

Umm...What??

I am talking about disposable diapers. WTF?

Disposable diapers are super absorbent and have a very soft inside fabric. They also have a super thin, plasticy, outside with elastic edges and Velcro bands to hold them tight. How do those not mar the paint??

How did you guys read my first post and not understand what I was talking about? What ****ing pre-historic pin-on diaper had elastic edges and Velcro bands!!??

Note the white Velcro tabs in the upper corners...

When using a diaper do you guys just fold them over? Do you cut them off?

I think what everyone is saying is that the diapers people use for drying the car are the cloth ones, not the disposable one you posted...

Haha... This is too funny. I think you are confused with what people use when they say they use a diaper on the paint for final buffing to reduce an static build up right? Well they use "diaper soft cotton towels" and not a disposable diaper or cloth diaper.

They are not like terry towels, have a tight weave and its very soft also. I see them at target all the time and they feel nice but just never pick them up.

Something like this.

I've seen people, literally use disposable diapers to apply final products.

But really though, it's a simple question and instead of trying to help straighten out the situation most of you would rather make me out to look like an idiot.

Really, thanks for nothing. I'll stick with my microfibers.

The only reason that someone would use a disposable diaper is that they where not shown but heard they where suppossed to use diapers. That's the only way it could have happened because no one looks at a disposable diaper and goes maybe that will work.

The reason for the smart-arse comments is that nobody on this forum (that I'm aware of) use disposable diapers. Hence, the wise-cracks. Don't take it personally - it"s just funny to visualize. I'm sure people elsewhere may use them as you suggest. Just not here.

Good policy. You can't beat a quality MF with anything.

It's best to fold the plastic back and use some frog tape to hold it. If you cut the plastic off, more than likely the absorbant material will come out when using them. It took me a couple tries, but I finally got a nice method down.. I cant stress how important it is to use a clean diaper. The first couple of times I used some that were soiled, and the stuffing just fell out with VERY LITTLE pressure applied. I wouldnt use too much product either, once they absorb to much it becomes chunky and can leave streaks in the finish.. Hope this helps..

Well, in all fairness, they would be very effective in soaking up spills. Especially the kinds that the corresponding baby or young child is likely to produce.
