how do you quote a fire engine?!

so the ems guy has reached out to me finally

honestly i have no idea how to quote these. its got to be hourly but if theyre on a budget i dont want to go over but this is/will be an extremely time consuming venture and i am simultaneously working with another place who has approached me to offer detail services to their clientele

damn why do i have to become this wanted, lol

i was planning a vacation

Also since they are working trucks and not show I`m sure you can talk them out of getting all scratches removed and do just swirl removal and gloss. And pending how the aluminum/chrome is may not do it all at once but do bit by bit. I use a cheap da with fake wool pad or if you get some cheap pads to use and toss to do the polish but don`t go bigger than 5" it`s counter productive, 3-4" is better and tape the paint off. Get lots of terry towels cheap from say goodwill or something like that to get most of polish off cause they`re gonna be thrown away and cut them to bout 12-16" square and for final wipe use cheaper yet softer microfiber towels. Washing aluminum filled towels and pads I`ve never had really good luck. Or lol into using some of the metal soap like mckees or p21 it`s supposed to polish and clean at same time. For polish i`ld say start with a fine and see how it goes, you could get away with just that and Wolfgang`s and blackfire`s fine polish go a very long way, just watch out for the splatter

I`ll trade you or take some off lol it`s been weeks since I got anything. Everyone I talk to is like "yeah, yeah! I want a full detail on my car I`ll call!" Then they don`t call back. but no most supplies would be included, or gratis- if hourly for this endeavor

that is not a bad idea. just be social and talk to people. I`d recommend taking it to a car wash and waxing it there.
the interested people will come approach you and then it`s a potential lead at that point
