he said.."I didn`t even want to touch the wheels before you"

Then he handed me the keys and said the three most precious words to a detailer "I trust you..."

So armed with that warm and fuzzy feeling I started with
SSS
BDX
PB micro wash mitts
Brushes, 2bm

Wheels (afrer cooled)- bdx
Micros
Boars hair detail brush for calipers
hydro2lite
Bold n bright gel
P808 as drying aid

Paint-
Rupes Lhr21 mk2
Rupes Lhr12e
Rupes Lhr75e
Rupes Nano
Rupes Yellow pads
Rupes blue combo or uhs combo on applicable pad when needed, but for the most part Essence and Rupes yellow pad was sufficient

Opt paint prep
Gtech Crystal Serum Light (hood, fr bumper, fenders, roof, trunk lid/spoiler)
Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating v2 (everywhere else)
Pinnacle Black Label Coating Booster as topper and on glass

Engine bay wiped down
Pinnacle exhaust cleaner
Sonus trim and motor kote on rear diffuser
Carpro perl on small plastic areas up front

Some polishing pics-

I might have suggested this as pin stripes since he has the green a pillar too

wth? four of these, two equal distance apart from another both on same spot either side...perhaps from when glass was put in? Suction cups on side? Dunno but they barely compounded down and one had a paint crack/chip in ot, yikes!

All done

Great work once again. I still have mixed feelings about my Carrand Tire Brushes ,I don`t like the tiny streaks they leave all over the tire compared to when I spread dressing using foam. Do you notice the same or is it just me? I tried them with gel for the first time the other day and it was a bit better and it eventually settled, I guess it just looks streaky at the beginning (?) .

Great work! But the car? I prefer the black Challenger :o

thanks. yeah, the more I detail these newer cars, I really like mine the most...yes, its older and it doesn`t drive like a new car but I prefer the styling (exterior and interior) of mine over the new ones

I really dislike the front ends of the new challengers UNLESS its a hellcat as it has a different front fascia.

Beautiful car and tremendous work! What are your thoughts on Crystal S.L.?? It`s marketed/ hyped-up to be significantly better than most non-professional coatings? Thank you for posting your work!

they take some breaking in--usually third or fourth set of tires they are good to go

I have noticed what you say on very smooth side walls but I use a tuff shine applicator block for those (with gel or liquid)

IMO- now, I have only used one 30ml vile- but have coated an entire hellcat charger and now this go mango (parts of it)

so on the car I luckily have a direct comparison....I coated the vehicle at around 8am that say (started)- when I pulled the car out I felt the panels and the hood WAS a little slicker (CSL over PBLv2)

now I can tell you that on the Red Hellcat Charger I had the csl on there for two days until he picked it up and the paint was Noticeably slicker than anything I have ever felt.

On this Go Mango Hellcat Charger I will be seeing it a lot, for years, so I will be able to do a few test spots at car shows with distilled water over time and get his feedback as he is the only one who washes it

But to answer your question in a short response-

Yes, this CSL is legit if you ask me. Much better than PBL but PBL is definitely easier to apply...although I think I got the CSL down with the micro suede cloth over carpro applicator

It`s definitely nice to have a `premium` coating to offer because it really only costs more (application is pretty easy once you dial it in)- but I think I lost a few DMTs in the process, they are kind of crunchy now--- might have to delegate them to engine duty or something - can`t bring myself to `Ron` them (toss `em) - haha

Great job! I totally agree with your opinion on CSL. It`s been my go to now for a few months. I also jumped on the PA Glasscoat Cosmic group buy. I like that as well but I think I will still stick with CSL as my coating of choice.

I think with CSL + EXO v2 topper -- you have a consumer grade coating available to anyone that comes pretty close to OC pro (I can tell you that the go mango hellcat charger I did looks better IMO than the Go Mango Hellcat Challenger my car club friend had done with OC pro+ (but maybe they didn`t use essence)

I think I am going to do CSL on my truck and make frequent visits to the touchless tunnel wash and see how it fares
