how do you clean this?

I have actually read over at MOL that pads shouldn't even be cleaned, ever, using water. Just a good spur tool to get the gunk off it...



That said, why go this route when you can get hook&loop pads + bp for around the same price?
 
Because I'm in Romania and the pads that you say aren't quite cheap here.

I I'm trying to live with what I have ...
 
I don't see why you couldn't clean those pads in a bucket of water--why do you think anything would be damaged from that? The only thing that might happen is the threads could get a little rusty, but they look like they are plated...they should probably be ok for the life of the pad.

Can you find a link to that thread?
 
Meguiar's recommends it because the glue on their pads isn't (or wasn't) that stable. They don't recommend using speed 6 on the PC exactly for that reason.

I think that pertains to wool pads and not foam pads.
