How do you clean pastewax off a black pad?

I recently used my PC to apply natty's red pastewax with a brand new black finishing pad. Afterwards I tried soaking it in a concentrated snappy pad cleaner which didn't really get all the wax out. I also tried to really work it over with water/car wash detergent and then water/dawn to no avail.

I used my nails some to literally extract some of the wax from the surface, but it started to damage the new pad so I stopped.

Any tips on cleaning this sucker?

I put my pads into my washing machine on warm (not hot, as that will melt the glue attaching the velcro to the pad). They always come out the cleanest that way. The only thing that hasn't come out so far is XMT 360 (pink) on a white pad. I have pink spots on my white pads.

I've yet to use Dawn Power Dissolver on my pads since throwing it in the washing machine works for me, but I've used it around the house for other things and even used it to clean my tire swipe and it's some powerful stuff.

try it! you'll use less water and they'll become more thoroughly clean than washing them in the washing machine, ime...

A few weeks back after reading a bunch of reviews on the Dawn Power Dissolver I picked some up and gave it at try and have been very impressed. I just stray the pads, let them rest and rinsing them under warm/hot water.
