I voted by machine for a couple reasons. First any good AIO has enough bite that with machine they should be able to remove any mild hollogramming left from rotary work. Using a rotary with a polishing pad and finishing polish and then following with an AIO by PC should reduce polishing time and leave a very nice finish. Also it seems as if using a PC can reduce the amount of product needed to cover a vehicle as it seems to spread farther.

I voted for machine because that way I can clean up any slight imperfections caused by polishing. Also for the one step details to correct what you can to the fullest extent with the aio by using the machine.

I prefer to use a machine (PC) for AIO products. In my experience, the PC helps immensely in taking advantage of the "cleaning" nature of AIO's (KAIO, ColorX, VM, etc).

I don't "apply" AIO type products, I work them via machine. Honestly, unless you have no access to a buffer, I can't see any advantage to hand application vs machine.

Machine here too, usually with light (no cut) polishing pads as opposed to finishing pads.

I don't use Klasse AIO by Cyclo though, it flashes way too fast and is a real PIA to buff off. Works fine by PC, but I never got any correction out of it on the paints I've used it on.

ZAIO via metabo @ 1100 and a blue or green 7" edge wave pad. Always looks great and no way I could apply and work it in this fast by hand.

I always use poli-seal with my Makita at 1100-1200 rpms. As it always gets rid of any hologramming or minor swirling to give a great looking finish.

Depnds on if you want to get some minor correction from it or not. if you just want to apply it then i'd say black or blue are pretty much the same. If you want some minor correction i'd say use a white CCS pad.

on mosr normal paint, I'd figure that the pad wouldn't matter as the ZAIO's abrasive would (IMO) do the same amount of work by PC regardless of the pad anyhow.

I'd choose a more open-pore pad than the black as I'd want someplace for the ZAIO/stuff it takes off to go and I don't see said stuff penetrating/migrating up into a black pad too readily. But then I never like using the black pad by PC for much except liquid LSPs...

I tend to apply aio products by hand. I also apply the sealant by hand. I guess I do that since I don't trust myself not to miss a spot and then the sealant won't stick.

Can I use LC green pad for kaio?

I can't say for sure...there are just too many different pads out there these days for me to keep track of all of 'em :o

As long as the Green LC pad doesn't impart any cut of its own it oughta be fine. I generally use polishing pads for AIOs as opposed to milder pads; I like the more open porosity. As long as the pad itself isn't gonna mar the paint it should be OK.
