How do I remove tar

I agree. Kerosine is another solvent that works easily and won`t damage the paint. But just to be safe after removing the tar I rinse with water, spray with P21s Total Auto wash and rinse again with water. No fuss or muss.
 
Bought two more cans of tarminator.
It was suggested to try plastic razor blades too.
I`m going to try and see if my VX5000 can soften the thick stuff. A coworker suggested a heat gun he can lend me.
I`m also trying a touch of diesel in the wheel wells.

I`m aiming to clean up the paint and eventually get it off the lower plastic. Its gonna take lots of time.

Its really amazing to see how the PP dissolves the mist all over the sides. Everything will need to Be done by hand or I`ll Be losing every pad i use.

told you patience and cotton throw away towels..lol ... I like the heat gun idea, but it could make a huge mess if it starts dripping :hmmm: .maybe park the car on a tarp ..

if you have a bit more time, then be a tester for a tar remover .. couple weeks at most ...

yeah I know how you feel about getting mad at the kid :(

Steve, I basically am just expermenting where there`s no paint. I`ll Be more than happy to test out some tar remover.
My son hasn`t helped a bit yet. But he`s got plenty of other things on his mind.

Nvm, found it! I think he knows where to buy it though.
