How Do I Remove BF Crystal Coat?

I applied BF Crystal Coat to my 2016 CTS-V and am very disappointed. I had a heck of a time leveling it so I have areas where it is thick and looks like the car was painted with a paint brush. I`ve tried removing it with some Menenzerna 2000 and 3000 and 3800 but to no avail. Nothing seems to touch this stuff. I`ve also tried Megs 105. Is there anything that will take this stuff off? Thanks in advance foe the help.

I never had problems removing any coating from opti coat pro to any consumer products. I use Griot`s fast cut on a microfiber pad. What you need to remember is small areas and clean the pad very frequently. I don`t feel a foam pad will do the trick. I find it interesting that a consumer grade product would give yo that much trouble? I hope that helps!

Mike .... How do you know when the coating has been removed?

Thanks!

I don`t know but will find out next week when I do my daughters car. I coated it Sep 2015 but did a terrible job correcting the paint and feel it is time to do a good job on it. I will start with Menz 400 and MF cut pad and if that wont do it I will go to 3D 501 and if needed menz 300 which is the most aggressive I have.

The coating turned out fine but was the hardest I have worked probably ever in removing the product. My arms felt like jello when I was done. This time I will do it with CSL/EXO.

ebferro- That "getting it level" thing is part of why I`m only coating wheels, so I sympathize with you.

I`ve often wondered how guys remove (old) coatings from things like motorcyles where it`s often applied via airbrush....

I kept finding pieces of it on my truck months and months after I unsuccessfully tried to use three different bottles of it

I was able to remove it with a microfiber cutting pad and essence with my Duetto ... I didn`t even try anything else, that got it off

I found a few other areas like a year later near my door handle and I used my Nano and the blue pad and essence to get those off

those high spots sure did shine though, lol

Have you found a solution that works? I got the same results on my wife`s (red) 2014 Honda CRV -- I thought time and normal wear would reduce the problem, but after a year+ of weather and frequent washes, it still looks the same.

PBMG will refund your money. Have you tried it on wheels? Send me a bottle to play with if you weren`t joking.
it was a free gift with purchase a while back
guess i know why now
not too worried about it
pbmg has been good to me over the years

on wheels, i tried it...was a pita as well

even tried to spray it directly on, maybe im just a hack
